Baku 2015: Basketball 3x3 good organized – Int’l Basketball Federation rep
Basketball 3x3 is a very good competition and it has a very good organization within the framework of the European Games in Baku, Romanian representative of International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Radu Petre told Trend.
European Games is a pretty good event, he said. “Unfortunately I was here only at the Basketball 3x3 games,” Petre said. “It was a very good competition and had a very good organization.”
He went on to add that Baku is an impressive city. “You can say that a lot of investments have been done lately to improve the city,” Petre said. “It is a nice city. I think Azerbaijan is an attractive tourist destination and I will advise my friends to visit Baku.”
The Romanian representative said that he would like to visit some other sport competitions in Baku in future as well.
The European Games that kicked off in Baku June 12, will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.
More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
