Solo competitions in synchronized swimming start at Baku 2015

Solo competitions in synchronized swimming within the framework of the first European Games have started in Baku June 13.
The program involves female athletes from 21 countries, including Azerbaijan, Austria, Czech Republic, Israel, Greece, Ukraine, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Russia and Belarus.
Ukrainian synchronized female swimmer Yelizaveta Yakhno, who scored 86.1667 points, is currently in the lead. The second place belongs to the female athlete from Austria – Anna Maria Alexandri (84.2000 points), the female athlete from Greece Athanasia Tsola took the third place (81.3000 points).
Azerbaijan in this kind of sport at the European Games is represented by Ekaterina Valiulina, which currently holds the fourth place with 72.3000 points.
The competitions are held in the Water Sports Palace.
Baku 2015 is the first ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent which kicked off on June 12.
There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
The First European Games will last till June 28.
Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
