First European Games to be presented in Turkey

A presentation of the Baku-2015 First European Games will be held as part of the 5th International SportAccord Convention in Antalya, Turkey from April 6-11.

Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov, Head of the International Relations Department at National Olympic Committee Konul Nurullayeva and Chief Operating Officer of the Baku 2015 European Games Jim Scherr will attend the event,AzerTag state news agency reported.

The event will bring together nearly 3,000 sports delegates from 80 countries.

Azad Rahimov will chair the presentation of the Baku-2015 European Games on April 8. Konul Nurullayeva, and Jim Scherr will also address the event.

Baku Games, starting on June 12, 2015, will involve around 6,000 competitors from the 49 Olympic nations of Europe across 19 sports, including new formats and disciplines featured for the first time at a major European sports event.

The list of sports includes Aquatics, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball 3x3, Beach soccer, Boxing, Canoe Sprint, Cycling, Fencing, Gymnastics, Judo, Karate, Shooting, Table tennis, Taekwondo, Triathlon, Volleyball, and Wrestling.
