Armenian leadership attempts to calm people by spreading misinformation on frontline

The incompetent Armenian government, which is unable to solve the increasing problems inside the country, deliberately aggravates tensions on contact line of Armenian-Azerbaijani troops.

The Armenian side frequently reports about alleged incursions by the Azerbaijani armed forces and the loss of Azerbaijani soldiers.

With such misinformation, Armenia’s military dictatorship, which has kept Azerbaijan’s historic lands under occupation for over 20 years, also attempts to conceal chaos and disorder in the Armenian armed forces.

The cases of non-combat soldier deaths have intensified in the post-Soviet country with a population of less than 3 million people.

As the increasing number of soldier deaths has unavoidably triggered public concern and angered desperate families, the Armenian leadership tries to divert the people’s attention with misinformation, blaming Azerbaijan for provocations on the frontline, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry stated.

The Armenian media has once again spread misinformation that Azerbaijani troops allegedly committed sabotage on the frontline and suffered losses, according to the ministry.

The ministry told Trend on September 1 that the Armenian side, in line with tradition, is hiding information about the shootouts taking place between Armenian soldiers due to a lack of discipline in the military units.

“The Azerbaijani armed forces did not carry out any operations on the contact line of Armenian and Azerbaijani troops, did not bear any losses, and fully controls the operational situation.”

The Armenian leadership tries to hide the motives and conditions of soldier deaths amid ongoing chaos and disorder in the army.

Evidence for the absolute chaos reining in the Armenian armed forces is supported by the numerous cases of desertion and evasion. Every young man who has the opportunity to escape service in the Armenian army does it with great pleasure.

They even do not hesitate to cross to the Azerbaijani side, despite the fact that the two countries have been enemies for nearly 25 years.

Andranik Grigoryan, a citizen of Armenia and a serviceman in Armenia’s armed forces, left his military unit on March 22 and raising a white flag, voluntarily surrendered to the Azerbaijani side.

In his interview with the local media, Grigoryan spoke about unbearable conditions for soldiers that prevail in the Armenian military units, forcing him to cross to the Azerbaijani side.

“We are tired of unbearable conditions, lack of discipline in the military unit, lack of ammunition, the officers’ bad attitude towards soldiers and warrant officers, and the disorder,” he said.

Grigoryan noted that if there were an opportunity, many Armenian soldiers would have gone to the Azerbaijani side, just as he did.
