Azerbaijani boxers join World championship in Korea
Azerbaijani women's boxing team participated in the world
championship held in Jeju, the Republic of Korea.
The championship brings together 337 fighters from 67
countries,AzerTag state news agency reported.
Azerbaijan is represented by eight boxers, including European
Champion, World silver medalist, Elena Vystropova (69 kg), Aziza
Abbasova (48 kg), Anakhanim Agayeva (51kg), Anna Alimardanova (54
kg), Mahsati Hamzayeva (57 kg), Yana Alekseyeva (69kg), Leyla
Javadova (75kg) and Aynur Rzayeva (+81kg).
Azerbaijani fighter Anakhanim Agayeva will face Sopida Satumrum
from Thailand, Mahsati Hamzayeva with Mexican Esquivel Ledesma,
Yana Alekseyeva with Hungarian Vivien Tsombor. Yelena Vistropova
will face Stacy Copeland from England.
