Azerbaijani grandmaster wins silver in Iran
Azerbaijani grandmaster Vugar Rasulov has grabbed silver medal in the 1st Behin Bazafarin Alborz International Chess Open Tournaments in Tehran, Iran, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Iranian Omid Noroozi became the winner of the tournament, while Georgian Shota Azaladze finished third.
Rasulov also won bronze medal in the blitz tournament.
The Swiss system tournament brought together 295 players from Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Iran.
