F1 tickets for Filarmoniya Grandstand sold out

With less than three months to go until the 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Baku City Circuit has announced that all tickets for ‘Filarmoniya’ Grandstand are sold out.

Filarmoniya Grandstand ticketholders will be able look out onto the circuit’s final downhill section and heavy breaking area that leads into Turn 16 and the turn at Azneft Square.

Bulent Ozerdim, BCC’s Commercial Director, noted that interest for the 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix is steadily growing.

“All tickets for one of the main grandstands are now sold out. This indicates that the race is proving to be popular with both local and international fans. In addition, we are in the process of confirming the names of the global music stars who will perform during the race weekend in Baku this summer,” he said.

“The further addition of the new 4-day ”Junior” tickets that are now available for children aged 2-16, means that we are expecting a dramatic increase in ticket sales over the coming weeks and months.I would like to take this opportunity to invite all motorsport fans to the 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Hurry up and make sure you get your tickets so you too can enjoy the most exciting weekend of the year with us!”

One, two and four-day tickets for the 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix - taking place on June 23-25 in Baku - are still available. Four-day tickets for different grandstands range from AZN 250-690, while “Junior” tickets for all grandstands range from AZN 175-480.

A 4-day ticket will include access to not only three days of racing but also to a special Pit Lane Walk on Thursday, June 22nd as well as to all entertainment programmes taking place on Baku Boulevard during the race weekend.

Overall 18,000 spectators are expected to watch from the grandstands and a minimum of 10,000 spectators will enjoy the race from the standing areas.

Tickets for the 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix have already been bought by fans from 48 countries, of which 34% are Azerbaijani citizens. The rest were sold outside the country with the top-10 purchasing countries being: Russia, Great Britain, Ukraine, Georgia, Austria, Finland, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, USA and Germany.
