Meteorite fall causes panic in Turkey
A meteorite fell into the Turkish part of the Black Sea, Trend news agency reported referring to DHA agency on Thursday.
According to the report, the meteorite fell at 23:00 local time.
This fact caused panic and fear among the population of the Ordu city in the light of rumors about the end of the world, expected on Dec.21.
Ordu City Mayor Orhan Duzgun confirmed the fall of the meteorite, which was captured on surveillance camera of one of the institutions of the city.
He said the exact place of meteorite fall is being clarified.
