First Turkish-made aircraft to be named Türkkuşu
The first Turkish-made aircraft planned to be built within a few years will be named Türkkuşu (Turkish Bird), Anadolu news agency reported.
The name of the aircraft was chosen following a competition held on the website of Aviation Association of Turkey. For six months anyone could send their proposal to name aircraft and then by a majority vote of website visitors, the name Türkkuşu was chosen.
It is expected that the manufacture of the aircraft will be completed by 2014. In the same year, the aircraft will be commissioned.
