One worker killed, another injured in tunnel collapse in Türkiye’s Adana
A tunnel collapse has occurred at a drinking water project in the İmamoğlu district of Türkiye’s Adana province, killing one worker and injuring another.
AzerNEWS reports five workers were initially trapped under the rubble following the collapse.
Adana Governor Mustafa Yavuz said the incident occurred during construction work on a 2,660-meter tunnel as part of the Yedigöze Drinking Water Project.
Emergency medical teams and police officers were dispatched to the scene. The injured worker was taken to hospital for treatment.
Rescue efforts and an investigation into the cause of the collapse are underway.
