Kyrgyzstan exported 334.9 kg of gold to UAE in May
Some 334 kg 993.8 grams of gold were exported from Kyrgyzstan to the United Arab Emirates in May. Such data are given in the bulletin of the National Statistics Committee on mutual and foreign trade for five months of 2023, Azernews reports, citing Kabar.
This volume is estimated at $21 million 268.9 thousand or $1 thousand 974.77 per troy ounce. Such price was fixed at the London Bullion Exchange in May.
In total for five months of this year, Kyrgyzstan sold 1 ton 746 kilograms of 101.7 grams of precious metal for a total amount of USD 109 million 191.6 thousand. In addition to the UAE, exports were also made to:
- China (Hong Kong) - 167 kilograms 882.1 grams for USD 9 million 698 thousand 859, or 1 thousand 796.9 dollars per ounce;
- Switzerland - 1 ton 243 kg 285.8 grams for USD 78 million 223.9 thousand, or $1,956.9 per ounce.
