Turkish Coast Guard has detained 223 illegal migrants in Edirne Province on the border with Greece, the Coast Guard said in a message.
The detainees had planned to illegally move to Europe, the message said.
"Among the detainees, there are citizens of Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya and Algeria," the message said.
All detainees will be deported from Turkey, according to the message.
Last time, the Turkish Coast Guard detained 183 illegal migrants in Izmir Province and 47 in Mugla Province.
