Uzbekistan manufacturing Kamaz trucks, aims for export as well

Since March 2018, 344 Kamaz vehicles have been manufactured in Uzbekistan, Uzbek media reported.

Production of the Russian trucks was launched in March 2018 at UzAutoTrailer’s plant, located in the Jambay city of Samarkand region.

The plant is assembling 11 types of Kamaz trucks with a carrying capacity from 10 to 36 tons. Engines of the trucks have of 201 to 401 horsepower and comply with Euro-3, Euro-4 and Euro-5 environmental standards.

The production capacity of the plant is 1,500 trucks per year and is planned to be increased to 3,000 vehicles.

Kamaz trucks manufactured at the plant will be sold not only in the local market, but will also be exported to the countries of Central Asia, Middle East and Africa.

Kamaz has also developed strategy on organizing modern dealer and service network in all 12 regions of Uzbekistan, as well as on exporting products manufactured there to foreign markets.
