A special event was organized by SOCAR-AQS at the Baku Nobel Heritage Fund, dedicated to the Oilman’s Day. Diploma and gifts were presented by management of the company during the ceremony to the group of employees, for their outstanding services provided to the development of the company.

Besides, management of the company made a decision to award Eltun Sadigov and Azad Khankishiyev, last-grade students of the Baku Higher Oil School and Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry respectively, who receive education as oil & gas engineers, with the Student Scholarship for the 2015-2016 Educational Year. Having made great achievements in studies and shown exemplary behavior, both students succeeded in the contest organized by the company, and deserved a SOCAR-AQS scholarship.

Members of the Azerbaijani Parliament, high school representatives, mass media and some high-ranking managers of the international oil & gas companies attended this event.

Rector of the Baku Higher Oil School, Elmar Gasimov, said that since the day of its establishment, SOCAR-AQS has been paying a special attention to the development of young personnel.

“A decision made today on awarding two future drilling engineers with the Student Scholarship, must be an example for each local enterprise. Such kinds of projects motivate the youth, strengthen the sense of responsibility in them and, most importantly, significantly increase their chances to get a job”.

The following speech was made by MP, member of New Azerbaijan Party, chairman of the party from Nasimi District– Malahat Ibrahimgizi, who said to feel proud of seeing how fast the company is developing. “We can see in SOCAR-AQS those layers of national oil strategy that were founded by the national leader, Heydar Aliyev. We are pleasantly impressed with the amount of contribution made in the national drilling strategy of the company. Besides, we greatly respect the steps taken by SOCAR-AQS today with regards to awarding the 2 young students with the scholarship, increasing their knowledge and skills, and developing to bring them to the professional level.

General Director of SOCAR-AQS, Ramin Isayev, who made the next speech, outlined that SOCAR-AQS considers its employees as its main asset.

“From the very first days of its establishment to date, the company has been making an enormous contribution to the development of the Azerbaijani drilling industry. On account of constant introduction of novelties, new technique and technologies into the national drilling, SOCAR-AQS manages to succeed exactly owing to the availability in the company of professional personnel. Managementofthecompanyregularlymonitorstheprocessofpersonneldevelopment, takes steps on enhancing their knowledge and skills, and constantly evaluates the services provided by the employees to the development of the company”.

Earlier the same day, on the occasion of the Oilman’s Day, employees of SOCAR-AQS visited the grave of a genius author, founder of the oil & gas strategy, national leader, Heydar Aliyev, and showed respect to his personality.

In addition to that, a documentary called “Target – Baku” was demonstrated to the employees of the company, an event supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Persistence and heroism of the oilmen of Azerbaijan that influenced the course of the World War II will always live in the hearts of the young generation.
