Turkey`s energy minister to visit Azerbaijan
Turkey`s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Hilmi Guler,
will visit Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan this week, Turkish
Haber3.com news portal reported.
During the visit, the minister will hold talks on the Shahdaniz gas project in Azerbaijan. Discussions will include an increase in the volume of gas exported to Turkey to meet the country`s domestic demand, the source said.
Discussions on the export of part of the gas purchased from Azerbaijan to Europe, and traveling through the NABUCCO pipeline, will be held during the talks.
Natural gas projects will also be discussed at meetings in Turkmenistan. Guler will focus on the trans-Caspian gas pipeline and transportation of Turkmen gas through Iran. Kazakh officials are expected to attend the meetings.
