SOCAR built some 22,000 km of gas pipelines in Azerbaijan
Azerigaz PU of the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR constructed more than 21,800 kilometres of gas pipelines in 2009-2013.
The company reported that over 20,600 kilometres of gas pipelines out of the total amount of pipelines constructed by the Azerigaz PU accounted for the country's regions, slightly more than 1,000 kilometres accounted for Baku, and some 182.7 kilometres accounted for main gas pipelines.
Also, some 6,900 kilometres of gas pipelines were overhauled from 2009 to 2013.
From January to July, Azerigaz PU constructed about 5,700 kilometres of gas pipelines, and some 953.7 kilometres of gas pipelines was overhauled.
Azerigaz PU is engaged in the distribution and sale of gas on Azerbaijani territory.
