Total office gets new general manager

The managing director of French oil major Total in Azerbaijan has been replaced, a company executive said.
Total's Vice-President for Continental Europe and Central Asia, Arnot Breuac, said Thierry Normand's term in office has expired and he will be succeeded by Mark Foyyad. Breuac has introduced the new general manager to the leadership of the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR.
SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev said the outgoing Total executive has earned deep respect and confidence of not only his co-workers but also representatives of other companies involved in joint implementation of projects in Azerbaijan. Abdullayev wished Normand success in his future activity, voicing confidence that the cooperation established between the two companies would continue during his successor's term in office.
SOCAR and Total have lately signed an agreement on exploration and production sharing from the Absheron gas field in the Caspian Sea.
