SOCAR produces over 5 bcm of gas in Jan.-Sept.
Azerbaijani state energy firm SOCAR produced about 5.12 billion cubic meters of gas in January-September 2012 compared to 5.31 billion cubic meters in the same period of 2011, SOCAR said on Tuesday.
In September, SOCAR produced 551.2 million cubic meters of gas, slightly down from 580.7 million cubic meters during the same period of last year.
According to SOCAR, in January-September, Azerbaijan produced 19.7 billion cubic meters of gas compared to 19.41 billion cubic meters during nine months of last year. In September, the figure was 2.25 billion cubic meters, up from 2.14 billion cubic meters in the same month of last year.
In 2011, the country produced about 26 billion cubic meters of gas. 7.08 billion cubic meters of this volume accounted for SOCAR.
