Baku port reduces oil cargo transshipment
Baku International Sea Trade Port transported 1.55 million tons of oil cargo in January-November, which is 17 percent less than the same period of last year, a source in the port told Trend on Friday.
The downward tendency in the port's oil cargo transshipment from the Central Asia is due to redirecting part of volumes to Sangachal oil terminal.
The port transshipped 1.99 million tons of oil cargo in 2010 which is less by 21 percent compared to 2009. The rate of decline in 2010 was also due to overall decline in the transit of the Kazakh and Turkmen oil.
