KazMunaiGas appoints new head
Bolat Akchulakov was appointed as the new head of the national oil and gas company KazMunaiGas.
His appointment will give dynamics to the talks on large oil projects in the republic, Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund Chairman of the Board Timur Kulibayev told press on Wednesday.
"Akchulakov was responsible for major projects," Kulibayev said. "He is well aware of them. His appointment will give the dynamics to the negotiations on these projects."
He said Akchulakov's appointment is connected with the fact that he was dealing with the three largest oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan - "Kashagan", "Karachaganak" and "Tengiz" at his previous position.
