Azerbaijan’s oil, gas output to rise
BAKU – Azerbaijan will increase oil production by 6 percent to 53 million tons in 2010 compared to last year, the president of the Azerbaijani state energy firm SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev said.
Gas output will rise from 23.6 billion cubic meters to 28.5 billion cubic meters, a 20.5 pct increase in comparison with 2009, Abdullayev told KazEnergy Eurasia forum in Astana.
In 2015, Azerbaijan’s oil production could amount to 60m tons, while gas output could range between 35 and 40bn cubic meters, Abdullayev said.
