Azeri SOCAR, Switzerland’s Aurora agree on partnership

Azerbaijan’s state energy firm SOCAR and Switzerland’s Aurora Progress S.A have agreed on partnership in developing the oil products terminal that is being built in the United Arab Emirates’ Fujairah seaport. SOCAR will be represented by the Geneva-based SOCAR Trading company.
The SOCAR AURORA Fujairah Terminal, which is scheduled for comissioning in early 2011, will contain 20 storage tanks with total capacity of 641,000 cubic meters and will receive fuel oil, gasoline, kerosene and diesel fuel. Also, as an independent operator, third parties could be offered to store their oil products at the terminal.*
