OPEC sees Azerbaijan`s oil output topping 1m bpd in 2009
Azerbaijan`s oil production will rise 180,000
barrels per day to reach 1.05 million bpd in 2009, the Organization
of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) predicts. The figure is
23,000 bpd down from the projection the oil cartel made in
January.
OPEC`s report assessing oil markets released this month says oil output in the resource-rich South Caucasus republic will hit the 1m bpd mark in the first quarter of 2009. The volume will make up 1.08m bpd in Q2, 1.05m bpd in Q3 and 1.1m bpd in Q4.
Total production in non-OPEC countries will be at the level of 50.89m bpd this year, or 0.55m bpd below 2008.
