Chief choreographer of Azerbaijani team talks about final day of FIG World Cup
The chief choreographer of Azerbaijani team in rhythmic
gymnastics, Kamil Guliyev, talked about himself and the final day
of the competitions.
Aside from doing choreography, Guliyev is also a performer - he
took the stage at the opening ceremony and will do so again at the
closing ceremony.
“In the opening and closing ceremonies of the World Cup, I play the
role of the Little Prince,” Guliyev told Trend. “I participated in
the opening ceremony of the Rhythmic Gymnastics European
Championships in Baku in 2014 and other similar ceremonies."
He said he doesn’t only dance, but also stages dances.
Guliyev said he performed for the first time during the gala
concert in 2013 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Kyiv.
The choreographer said he will also participate and stage dances in
the upcoming spectacles and ceremonies of large tournaments.
Further he talked about the FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic
Gymnastics which is being held in Baku.
“Today, it is the final day and we will see a very interesting
closing ceremony with which we want to show that despite all the
negative developments going on in the world, the sports is able to
defeat evil,” added Guliyev.
The FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics kicked off in Baku
July 22 and will end on July 24. On the first two days of the
tournament, gymnasts from 17 countries competed for medals in
all-around competitions. Apparatus finals will be held on the
events’ last day.
