President Aliyev receives delegation of Swiss Confederation UPDATE
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by head of the Swiss Federal Department of Finance, Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer, Azertac reported.
The Swiss minister informed the Azerbaijani president about the purpose of his visit and the meetings he held.
Referring to the Swiss-Azerbaijani relations, Maurer stressed the importance of the activities of Azerbaijan’s SOCAR in Switzerland and expressed confidence in further continuation of good relations existing between the two countries.
President Aliyev, in turn, stressed the presence of very productive bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Swiss Confederation, saying that there is good potential for further development of these relations in the spheres of economy, mutual investments and other areas.
Speaking about the cooperation in the energy sphere, the president noted the importance of the support of the Swiss Confederation to the TAP project.
President Aliyev appraised the activity of Swiss companies in various spheres of Azerbaijani economy.
