Azerbaijani fighters win Shito-ryu Shukokai World Championship
Azerbaijan`s youth karate team have finished first in the fourth Shito-ryu Shukokai Union World Championship in Tehran, Iran.
Jeyhun Ismayilov, Nuri Aliyev, Abulfaz Rahimov, Mirjalal Alasgarov and Murad Hajizade climbed on to the winner`s rostrum, while Ali Mirzayev, Emil Guliyev and Najmaddin Bunyadov grabbed silver medals.
Other Azerbaijani fighters Gasim Hasanov, Murad Balakishiyev and Huseyn Mammadov scooped bronze medals.
The championship brought together more 1200 athletes from 15 countries, AzerTac state news agency reported.
