President  reviews one of schools after repair in Baku

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev reviewed secondary school No 283 after repair and reconstruction in Binagadi, Baku on September 7, AzerTac state news agency reported.

Head of Baku Executive Authority Hajibala Abutalibov informed the president of the work done.

Secondary school No 283 was established in 1988. The school, which occupies a total area of 24,000 square metres, consists of one three-storey and two two-storey blocks.

There are photo stands in the foyer of the building reflecting national leader Heydar Aliyev`s care for education and President Aliyev`s work to improve schools in Binagadi to modern standards.

There are 62 classrooms in the school which has a total enrollment of 1,200 students in Azerbaijani and Russian sections. They are served by 160 teachers. In the 2014-2015 academic year, 47 out of 67 students who finished the school enrolled at universities, with seven of them scoring more than 600 points at entrance exams. The school has two football and one volleyball ground.
