Qatar appoints new envoy
Qatar`s Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, has appointed new
ambassadors to eight countries, including Azerbaijan.
Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad bin Jassem Al-Thani has been named Qatar`s envoy to Azerbaijan, Qatar News Agency reported.
The other countries where Qatar sent new envoys are Russia, Libya, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, the Dominican Republic and Cuba.
Qatar recognized Azerbaijan`s independence on December 30, 1991. The two countries established diplomatic relations in September 1994.
