President Aliyev receives BBC Global News head
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Chief Executive
Officer of BBC Global News Jim Egan on November 25, AzerTag state
news agency reported.
Egan informed President Aliyev about the activities of the company
and its work in the field of international cooperation.
He stressed the importance of delivering comprehensive
information about the history, cultural development of Azerbaijan
and ongoing development processes in the country to a wider
audience.
President Aliyev spoke of Azerbaijan`s economic achievements after
the independence, its cooperation with the European Union, the
country’s achievements in the field of energy, and the
Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The president noted the importance of spreading objective and
unbiased information about the rich history, culture, development
processes of Azerbaijan.
The sides also exchanged views on the issues related to cooperation
prospects.
