Azerbaijan displays military achievements

Azerbaijan's army is the strongest one in the South Caucasus in terms of combat training and weapon productions.

The statement came from Azerbaijan's Defense Industry Minister Yavar Jamalov at the opening ceremony of the first Azerbaijan International Defense Industry Exhibition "ADEX 2014" on September 11.

The first international defense industry exhibition in Azerbaijan and the region kicked off at the Baku Expo Center.

"The country's military power is steadily growing," he added.

Jamalov said that Azerbaijani army will achieve all its goals soon including the liberation of the country's territories from occupation.

More than 200 companies from 34 world's countries are taking part in the Azerbaijan International Defense Industry Exhibition "ADEX 2014". This shows the great achievements of the country in terms of military-technical cooperation with other states.

He expressed hope that the number of the partner-countries will increase during the exhibition.

"The number of our enterprises producing military equipment and ammunition has increased," he said. "Our companies produce competitive products in accordance with international standards. The Ministry of Defense Industry invites friendly and brotherly countries to cooperate. I hope that the exhibition will contribute to the expansion of these relations," Jamalov said.

The exhibition has been organized upon the initiative and with the support of the Azerbaijan's Defense Industry Ministry.

Turkey, Russia, Belarus, the Republic of Korea, Poland, Israel, and Ukraine will partake at the three -day event with their stands.

Azerbaijan is presenting around 168 different products including bombs, small arms, combat modules mounted on armored vehicles at the exhibition.

Numerous bilateral meetings with heads of relevant Ministries, manufacturer companies and customers will be held at the sideline of the exhibition.
