Azerbaijan, Latvia mull migration issues
Chief of Azerbaijan's State Migration Service Firudin Nabiyev is visiting Latvia on the invitation of the country`s State Secretary of the Interior Ministry.
The visit is aimed at discussing the execution of the EU Twinning Project, and hold talks on ways to develop cooperation between the two countries` migration authorities, AzerTag news agency reported.
During the visit, Nabiyev met deputy State Secretary of the Interior Ministry Inguna Aire and chair of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs Vilnis Jekabsons.
The visit will also see Nabiyev meet head of the Latvian State Border Guard Normunds Garbars.
Azerbaijan-Latvia relations are developing yearly and reciprocal visits play huge role in taking bilateral relations forward. There is a legal framework of Azerbaijan-Latvia relations. The two countries have so far signed about 30 documents with 5 ones pending to get signed.
