Defence minister visits Air Force military unit

Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov paid a visit to an Air Force military unit, the ministry reported on January 23.
The minister familiarized with the combat readiness of military aviation, the runways and additional buildings in the territory.
Hasanov also met with flight and engineering personnel and urged them to constantly improve their professionalism. Ranks were assigned to some servicemen with personnel being awarded with medals and gifts.
The minister gave instructions on rapid and qualitative execution of combat missions, improved housing and living conditions in the military campus and all implemented and planned measures.
Hasanov began his visits to the military units, following his appointment to the post of the defense minister in late 2012.
