TAP is significant to whole region - Albania
Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met his Albanian counterpart Ditmir Bushati on the sidelines of the 68th Regular Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 68) in New York, the U.S.
During the meeting, the Albanian Foreign Minister said that cooperation with the European Union and implementation of the TAP project are considered significant areas of foreign policy of Albania's new government, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
He spoke about the strategic significance of the TAP project and underscored that this project is of importance not only for Albania, but also for the whole region.
In turn, Mammadyarov said that there are wide opportunities for
development of cooperation between the two countries, and noted the
importance of the cooperation in energy sphere.
An exchange of ideas on issues of common interest was also carried
out during the meeting.
