U.S. senators to observe socio-political situation in Azerbaijan
A delegation headed by U.S. Senator Roger Wicker is in Baku as part of a visit to the region, the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend on July 3.
The delegation consists of Helsinki Commission Co-Chairman Christopher Smith, Congressman Robert Aderholt and others.
The purpose of the visit is to become acquainted with the socio-political situation in Azerbaijan.
During the visit, the delegation will meet with Azerbaijani officials and representatives of civil society.
