President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received on June 11 co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Pedro Agramunt Font de Mora and Joseph Debono Grech, AzerTac state news agency reported.

The meeting focused on the current state of and prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe.

On the same day, President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, AzerTac reported.

Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani conveyed greetings of heads of state of the organization`s member countries to the Azerbaijani leader.

They stressed the importance of the Baku-hosted international conference to assist the State of Palestine.

The Azerbaijani President and the Secretary General hailed cooperation between the country and the Arab states of the Gulf.

They noted relationship between Azerbaijan and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf was developing successfully both in bilateral format and within international organizations.

During the conversation, President Aliyev and Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani stressed the necessity of defining new areas of cooperation.

They also discussed issues related to expansion of the bilateral ties on all areas.

The Head of State asked the Secretary General to deliver his greetings to the heads of state of the organization`s member countries.

The Azerbaijani President met also an Egyptian delegation led by Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr on June 11.

The Egyptian minister conveyed greetings and best regards of President of Egypt Mohamed Morsi to the Head of State.

Mohamed Kamel Amr noted the two countries were bound together by rich historical values.

He said there were big opportunities for development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Egypt.

President Aliyev stressed the importance of expanding bilateral ties between the two countries and developing cooperation in the areas of international relations and regional development.

The Head of State said there was good potential to establish strong partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt.

They also discussed issues related to development of the Azerbaijan-Egypt relations in different fields, including in the fields of politics, economics, and investment making.

The Azerbaijani leader asked the Foreign Minister to pass on his greetings to the Egyptian President.

President Ilham Aliyev received Foreign Minister of Malaysia Anifah Aman.

The Head of State expressed hope that Anifah Aman`s visit to Azerbaijan would be a good chance to discuss development of bilateral relations between the two countries.

President Aliyev hailed political relationship between Azerbaijan and Malaysia, noting there are good opportunities for development of these ties in the field of economics.

Minister Aman conveyed Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Sri Mohd Najib`s greetings and best regards to the Azerbaijani President.

Anifah Aman said during his visit he had witnessed major development processes in Baku.

The Head of State asked the Foreign Minister to deliver his greetings to the Malaysian Prime Minister.

On June 11, the Azerbaijani President also received Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

Ahmet Davutoglu conveyed Turkish President Abdullah Gul`s and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan`s greetings to the Head of State.

They noted friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey were developing successfully in all areas.

The Azerbaijani President and the Turkish Minister underlined high level meetings and reciprocal visits contribute to strengthening the bilateral ties even further.

They stressed the importance of high-profile international events held in Baku recently in terms of strengthening cooperation among countries and peoples.

President Ilham Aliyev asked Ahmet Davutoglu to pass on his greetings to the Turkish President and the Prime Minister.

President Aliyev received Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu.

During the meeting, they stressed the importance of Azerbaijan`s successful activity in all institutions under OIC.

President Ilham Aliyev and Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu exchanged views on issues related to future activities of the organization.
