Moroccan PM hosts Azerbaijani ambassador
Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Morocco Tarik Aliyev has met Prime Minister of the country Abdelilah Benkirane.
The sides praised relationship between the two countries. They said both countries were interested in boosting bilateral cooperation.
They also recalled Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev`s meeting with King Hassan II of Morocco, took place on the sidelines of the 7th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Conference held in Casablanca. They said Heydar Aliyev and Hassan II had discussed prospects for development of Azerbaijan-Morocco cooperation during that meeting.
The sides also praised cooperation between the two countries within international organizations.
The ambassador briefed the Moroccan Prime Minister on the history of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
Abdelilah Benkirane, in turn, stressed the necessity of development of relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco. He also underlined the importance of bilateral cooperation in energy, tourism, education and cultural fields.
