SAM reps attend OIC think tanks' forum
A forum of think tanks of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has opened in Cairo.
The forum was attended by Head of Department of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan Republic (SAM) Vusal Gasimli, SAM expert Kamal Gasimov, head of the Center for Economic Research Vugar Bayramov.
The IV Forum of OIC think tanks, organized under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Egypt, is dedicated to topic "Economic Integration of OIC: Prospects and Challenges".
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Presidential Adviser for Political Affairs of Egypt Pakinam Al-Shargavi spoke about the importance of Forum to facilitate greater integration of Islamic countries in political and economic cooperation. She emphasized that the previous forum was held in Azerbaijan on the highest level.
At the two-day forum on "Muslim countries rich in natural resources, economic growth", dedicated to Azerbaijan's economic model and its achievements in the field of economics, the SAM representative Gasymly will deliver a lecture.
Head of the Economic Research department Bayramov will deliver a report on "Economic problems and prospects of development in Islamic countries," dedicated to the analysis of the economic situation in the Islamic countries and the experience of Azerbaijan.
Another report will be made by Gasymova on "Islamic banking in Azerbaijan: history and prospects."
