TURKPA head to attend conference on international security of gender balance in Australia

TURKPA delegation headed by Ramil Hasanov, TURKPA Secretary General, will participate in the OSCE-Australia Conference on Improving the International Security of Gender Balance, to be held on March 18-21 in Adelaide, Australia, TURKPA said on Wednesday.

The aim of the conference is to improve the security of gender balance. Discussions will focus on combating violence against women, preventing the exploitation of women for terrorist purposes and all forms of trafficking in human beings, and promoting the economic empowerment of women. The conference will also provide opportunities for an exchange of views on lessons learned and emerging challenges from an Asian-Pacific perspective.

TURKPA head Hasanov will make speech on Protection of Gender Balance and The importance of international organizations on combating violence against women.

At the same time, bilateral and multilateral meetings of TURKPA Secretary General are also expected with Tacan Ildem, permanent representative of Turkey to the OSCE, Lamberto Zannier, OSCE Secretary General and representatives of other international organizations.

The conference will be followed by a seminar on "Building Confidence in Times of Structural Change" to be hosted by Flinders University on March 19.

During the visit TURKPA Secretary General will be accompanied by Anar Rahimov, Secretary on International Cooperation and Protocol.
