Japanese govt thanks Azerbaijan for aid
BAKU – Tokio thanked Azerbaijani government and its people for their expression of solidarity and generous assistance to Japan, the website of the Foreign Ministry of Japan reported.
Azerbaijani government made a donation of $1 million via the Red Cross Society of Japan following a 9.0 magnitude earthquake in the country.
The Foreign Ministry highly appreciated letters and messages of condolences from Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
