Japan firm wins suit against Azeri defense ministry
BAKU – An Azerbaijani court on Thursday upheld a plea filed against the Defense Ministry by Japanese electronics maker Pioneer Corporation, which claimed outstanding debt.
According to a bilateral agreement, Pioneer assumed an obligation to supply the ministry with electronic equipment. After completing the work, however, the company alleged that the ministry had failed to fully repay the owed amount and still owes it over 100,000 manats ($125,000).
