Azerbaijan in talks with Jordan on buying surverillance planes: sources

BAKU – Azerbaijan is interested in buying Seabird Aviation Jordan company’s surverillance planes, King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) has said.
The Seeker SB7L-360 model, the company’s lead product, is currently used by the Jordanian air force. The planes fly at an altitude of up to 1,480 feet (around 450 meters).
Besides Azerbaijan, Seabird Aviation Jordan is reportedly in talks on selling SB7L-360 planes to Iraq, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Tanzania, and these countries’ relevant agencies are expected to sign deals with the Jordanian company soon.
Seabird Aviation Jordan, established in 2003, has the capacity to manufacture 12 Seeker planes per year. But the company said it could double its production if it receives orders.
The Seeker SB7L-360 is a cost effective manned aerial surveillance plane offering outstanding levels of visibility. It enables long-endurance missions whilst carrying advanced surveillance equipment and permits the timely monitoring and reporting of risks or threats.
