UAE to open embassy in Azerbaijan
BAKU – United Arab Emirates (UAE) is expected to open its embassy in Azerbaijan this year, Azeri diplomat was quoted as saying on Friday.
The UAE are one of the first countries that recognized the independence of Azerbaijan in 1991. The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992. Azerbaijan opened its embassy in Abu Dhabi in 2001 and consulate in Dubai in 2006.
