Azeri gov’t warns against traveling to Iraq

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has warned citizens against
traveling to Iraq due to terror acts and armed confrontation.
Although the number of terror acts has reduced in Iraq compared to previous years, the situation in the country is still tense, the ministry reported.
The ministry calls on citizens to refrain from traveling to Baghdad, Mosul, Kerkuk, Basra, Maysan, Al Anbar, Salad ad Din, Diyala, Ninewa, Muthanna, Najaf, Kerbala and Dhi Gar.
The ministry recommends citizens permanently or temporarily residing in Iraq to contact with the Azerbaijani Embassy in Jordan and pre-register at the Consular Section if they have any problems.
The ministry brings to the attention of citizens that the ministry does not bear any responsibility for possible incidents during their travels to Iraq. *
