Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has inaugurated a modular hospital for the treatment of coronavirus patients in Gobustan region where he arrived for a visit on July 29.

The head of state was informed of the conditions created at the hospital.

Hospital complex consist of three buildings with 100 wards and 200 beds, equipped with a centralized oxygen generation system, as well as a centralized ventilation system.

Necessary conditions have been created for receiving and treating coronavirus infected patients with moderate symptoms. In addition, corresponding improvements are being made by providing additional equipment for admission of patients with severe symptoms.

The units can be easily moved when not needed, i.e. after a pandemic, and can be used for other purposes- as military units, border guards, training or emergency service, etc.

It should be noted that in accordance with the relevant order of President Ilham Aliyev, building of 10 modular hospital complexes have started in the country as part of a set of preventive measures aimed at preventing the pandemic and protecting public health.

Thus, modular hospital complexes were installed on May 7 in Baku Clinical Medical Center No.1, on June 9 in Bilga settlement No.28 United City Hospital, Sumgait city hospital No.1 and Saray settlement hospital of Absheron region, on June 24 in Ganja city hospital No.1, and on July 6 in Khatai district.

All complexes were installed near the district central hospital and are attached to them, which provides unified management and medical cooperation, in order to provide coronavirus infected patients with necessary medical services.
