Israeli defense industry major opens office in Azerbaijan
Elbit Systems Ltd., one of Israel`s largest defense
electronics manufacturers, has opened an office in Azerbaijan. The
company was registered by the state in mid-September as Elbit
Systems of Azerbaijan, according to the Ministry of Taxes. The
company is headed by Eduard Chernin.
Products sold by Elbit Systems mainly include warplanes, helicopters and civil aviation systems, and drones, such as Hermes 450(R) and Skylark(R), as well as border security systems.
The company is working with the country`s Ministry of Defense Industry on a drone manufacturing project in Azerbaijan.
