Azerbaijan will develop its ecotourism concept within two
months, said Hikmat Alizade, director of the Department for
Biodiversity Conservation of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural
Resources of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
He added that work in this direction is being carried out in
cooperation with foreign experts.
“Foreign experts, who recently came to Azerbaijan at the
invitation of the State Tourism Agency, were familiarized with
national parks. They really liked our parks. An expert from the
Czech Republic will come in April, who will help carry out relevant
work in national parks."
The director stressed that interest in ecotourism is growing in
Azerbaijan.
Saying that Azerbaijan has a potential for the development of
ecological tourism, Alizade added that the entrance to the national
parks costs 2 manats, and some services are free of charge.
