President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received member of the Committee on the affairs of soldiers-internationalists under the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS and the Supreme Council of the International Organization of Veterans “Battle Brotherhood”, Lieutenant Colonel, Hero of the Soviet Union Ruslan Aushev.
The importance of Azerbaijan-hosted event marking the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of the Soviet troops from Afghanistan was praised during the meeting.
Ruslan Aushev hailed his meetings with Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev and noted that he always pays tribute to the national leader.
President Ilham Aliyev praised Ruslan Aushev`s visit to Azerbaijan and thanked for his warm words about the national leader.
Ruslan Aushev said the event participants were greatly impressed with the development processes that they saw in Baku, and that they came to Baku with great pleasure to participate in the event.
