Azerbaijan, Russia agree on equitable use of frequencies

By Rashid Shirinov

Azerbaijan and Russia have agreed a procedure for the use of frequency resources in border areas, a source in the telecommunications market of Azerbaijan told Trend on October 12.

The sides held monitoring of channels used in the border areas and signed an agreement on equitable use of the frequency spectrum of mobile communications and broadcasting.

The agreement provides for streamlining of radio frequency spectrum use and reduction of the probability of interference by radio-electronic means in the border areas.

Azerbaijan already signed similar agreements with Georgia in early 2017 and with Iran in 2016.
