Mehriban Aliyeva: We will continue our joint work in future

First Vice President of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva visited several settlements of Khazar region on March 1 and met with the local people.

Sincerely greeting residents of Turkan settlement, Mehriban Aliyeva said she was very glad that such meetings were continuing.

"For all these 12 years, as an MP I have tried to justify your trust in my activity," she said.

"I am very happy that over these years we have worked hard for the development of Khazar district and achieved many successes," said the First Vice President, recalling the number of facilities built in the district.

Further Mrs. Aliyeva said that in connection with the appointment to the new position she will have to suspend her activities in the Parliament of Azerbaijan. “At the same time, with great pride I want to note that during this time I have always felt your attention, your support, love and respect. Achievements, progress we have made over these years became a reality because of this reason. This is the result of our work together. I am grateful to all the people of the Khazar district, people who believe in me.”

Mehriban Aliyeva noted that as an MP from the Khazar district, she has always tried, along with the implementation of large-scale projects, to communicate with people, to listen to their problems, and to do everything possible to resolve the issues of concern. Once again I want to note that your attention, faith was my main source of strength. I am confident that we will continue our joint work in the future,” she said, emphasizing that this unity will continue in the future to achieve new successes.

Within the framework of the visit, First Vice President viewed conditions at the special boarding school for physically disabled children No. 6 in Turkan settlement.

Mehriban Aliyeva viewed “Healthy education class” at the school, which is supplied with special equipment for children with physical disabilities.

During the trip First Vice President also attended the opening of orphanage-kindergarten No.226 in Pirshaghi settlement of Sabunchu district and inaugurated the newly-renovated integrated boarding school No. 11 in Bilgah settlement of the same district.

Mehriban Aliyeva also attended the opening of a newly-renovated building of Scientific-Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Ministry of Healthcare in Baku, reconstruction work of which started in 2013.

Scientific-Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology occupies a total area of one hectare. The landscaping and reconstruction work was carried out around the institute. The institute is supplied with necessary equipment. All conditions have been created here to provide high-quality medical services for people.
