Major bus terminal opens
An international bus terminal - one of the largest
in the world - was opened in Baku last week. President Ilham Aliyev
attended the opening ceremony.
The International and Inter-City Bus Terminal, which encompasses an area of 21.4 hectares, will provide services to 18,000-20,000 passengers and will be able to receive between 800 and 950 buses a day.
The complex includes a parking lot for 700 cars, retail stores, service rooms, a post office, cafes and a four-star hotel with 93 guest rooms.
Over 4,000 people will be employed at the facility.
